Data Scientist Intern - Supplier Management Analytics & AI

About the role

The Data Scientist Intern supports the Global Supplier Management organization by building analytical solutions, AI-enabled capabilities and reporting automation that improve supplier governance, performance management and commercial decision-making. The intern works closely with the Global Supplier Management Lead, Vendor Account Managers, Operations, Procurement, Finance and other stakeholders, and contributes to initiatives in advanced analytics, business intelligence, forecasting, process automation and Generative AI. The internship starts in February 2027 and runs until June-July 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and executive reporting solutions, and build KPI, SLA and supplier performance scorecards.
• Analyse supplier, financial, commercial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities, and support QBRs, governance reviews and executive presentations.
• Automate manual processes with AI and Power Platform tools, and develop prototypes with Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, Python and machine learning.
• Support predictive analytics and forecasting models, and automate reporting, data preparation and governance.
• Support Vendor Account Managers with spend analysis, benchmarking, rate competitiveness and cost optimization, and help prepare business cases and executive summaries.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Spanish university and eligible to sign an internship agreement with it.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Analytics or a related field.
• Available from February 2027 until June-July 2027.
• Preferred: experience with Power BI, Power Platform, machine learning concepts, Generative AI, Azure/Databricks, and knowledge of procurement or supplier management processes.

Required skills

• Python, SQL, Microsoft Excel and data visualization principles.
• Preferred: Power BI, Power Platform, machine learning fundamentals, Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, data modeling and statistical analysis.
