Design & Technical Services Area Support Trainee

About the role

Radisson Hotel Group is looking for a trainee to join its Design and Technical Services Corporate Team and support the team on soft refurbishments, project design and execution. The role is based in Madrid and supports the setup and development of projects across Europe, offering the chance to build project management experience in hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Support Area Project Managers and Area Directors on delivering soft refurbishments
• Develop smaller projects by verifying budgets, design approvals and coordination
• Prepare executive project reports and coordinate information from hotels
• Coordinate with consultants and interior designers in EMEA to meet quality and cost objectives
• Interpret design drawings and specifications, prepare design scopes and assess existing FFE condition and operational layout
• Undertake CAD drawings, ask suppliers for offers and follow up orders
• Hold Q&A with contractors and support the office team with daily tasks

Required profile

• Degree in architecture, interior design, quantity surveying or a related design and construction field
• Enrolled in a school programme with a Traineeship Agreement required
• Fluent English (C2), written at reporting level; German or French is a plus
• Willingness to travel to different locations in Europe
• Basic knowledge of design and construction processes, construction materials and quality conditions, and of budgets related to scope of work
• Preferably previous experience in the hospitality industry

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products
• Knowledge of reporting and follow-up processes
• Ability to work independently, remotely for short periods and under deadlines
