DevOps Engineer

About the role

Impress, Europe’s leading health‑tech innovator, is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join its onsite team in Barcelona. You will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining a reliable, scalable cloud infrastructure that supports both core services and AI workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate scalable AWS infrastructure, including EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, SQS and SNS.
• Manage production Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS, handling deployments, scaling, networking and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Own CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD‑based GitOps delivery.
• Support PostgreSQL databases and messaging services (SQS, SNS).
• Collaborate with AI teams to provision and stabilize GCP‑based AI/ML workloads.

Required profile

• Strong Linux background with hands‑on OS level experience.
• Proven production experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
• Solid Terraform expertise, building infrastructure from scratch.
• Deep familiarity with core AWS services.
• Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD.
• Ability to work closely with Java, Node.js and React development teams.
