Director of Security Engineering (Remote – Spain)

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, the Director of Security Engineering will lead Auctane’s global security engineering and operations programs. This senior position focuses on protecting enterprise and cloud infrastructures while shaping the company’s overall cybersecurity strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Define and develop technology and processes that govern Auctane’s global cybersecurity practices.
• Secure the enterprise and cloud infrastructures across all regions.
• Manage security architecture, engineering, and operations functions.
• Lead multiple security programs spanning engineering and operations teams.
• Collaborate with R&D and other tech functions to integrate security at scale.
• Ensure alignment with US‑based teams by working overlapping hours.
• Travel up to 10% for meetings, conferences, or site visits.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in security engineering or cybersecurity.
• Strong background securing enterprise and cloud environments.
• Experience managing security architecture, engineering, and operations.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional, autonomous teams.
• Willingness to work remotely from Spain with occasional travel.
