Director, People Europe

About the role

Freenow is seeking a senior People leader for Europe who will shape the region’s people strategy and drive organisational effectiveness. Reporting to Lyft’s Chief People Officer with a dotted‑line to the European leader, the Director, People Europe will act as a trusted advisor to the European Leadership Team and a key member of Lyft’s global People organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the European Leadership Team to translate business strategy into people, talent and organisational priorities.
• Lead workforce planning, operating‑model decisions and organisational design to support growth across Europe.
• Own people integration for M&A activities, collaborating with Global People and cross‑functional partners on diligence and integration.
• Define talent, succession and leadership strategies for senior and key roles, and coach leaders to improve performance.
• Provide executive oversight of employee relations, labour relations, compliance and workforce risk, working with Legal and leadership on high‑impact matters.
• Provide dotted‑line leadership across European People functions, driving alignment and consistency.
• Drive adoption of AI, analytics and technology to improve decision‑making, workforce insights and operational efficiency.
• Scale People processes through automation and data‑driven operating models.

Required profile

• 12+ years of progressive People leadership experience in international, multi‑country environments.
• Proven success partnering with executive leadership teams in high‑growth technology, marketplace, mobility or consumer businesses.
• Strong track record of delivering talent, organisational and cultural transformation at scale.
