Dishwasher – Kitchen Cleaning Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Dishwasher to join our hotel’s kitchen team in Palma de Mallorca. The role focuses on maintaining a clean and safe environment for food preparation and service, supporting the culinary staff by ensuring all dishes, utensils and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, including the commercial dishwasher, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing station and trash compactor.
• Wash, rinse and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware and kitchen tools using a 3‑compartment sink and approved chemicals.
• Inspect cleaned items, re‑wash any that do not meet standards, and store clean wares in designated areas.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly and rotate stock as needed.
• Empty and maintain trash cans, dumpsters and recycling bins; break down cardboard and glass for proper disposal.
• Clean and mop kitchen, store rooms and assigned work areas, and ensure all surfaces are free of food residue.
• Follow all safety, security and hygiene policies, reporting any maintenance issues or incidents to the supervisor.

Required profile

• No formal education or prior experience required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and to bend, twist, reach overhead and work below knee level.
• Clear communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Commitment to follow company policies, safety procedures and quality standards.

Required skills

• Dishwashing machine operation.
• Use of sanitizing chemicals and 3‑compartment sink procedures.
• Basic knowledge of waste segregation and recycling.
