Electrical Installation Designer - Aircraft Systems

About the role

Aerodrome and space division of Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid) is looking for an Electrical Installation Designer. You will join the Electrical System Installation Design Engineering team, which defines and integrates the aircraft electrical system, focusing on the physical installation of electrical systems inside the aircraft. The role works closely with other engineering teams and technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and validate electrical harnesses and equipment installations, from architecture and detailed design through manufacturing support and in-service activities.
• Translate electrical requirements into physically feasible and integrable installation solutions.
• Define the location, routing and integration of electrical elements and equipment, respecting aircraft installation constraints and design principles.
• Develop electrical installation designs in CATIA, following regulations, processes, methods, tools and procedures.
• Work with electrical definition teams and other engineering departments to keep electrical requirements consistent with their physical implementation.
• Interface with technical stakeholders and adapt installation solutions to changes during design, manufacturing and in-service phases.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional engineering experience; previous experience in electrical installation design and aircraft systems integration is highly valued.
• Professional level of Spanish and approximately B2 English.
• Nice to have: experience in electrical system installation design within the aeronautical sector and in complex aircraft integration environments.

Required skills

• CATIA, especially for installation design and integration.
• Ability to work in a networked way with different departments and stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills and adaptability to evolving technical topics.
