Electrical System Installation Design Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an Electrical System Installation Design engineer in Getafe. The role covers designing and validating electrical harnesses and equipment installations, from architecture through detailed design, supporting manufacturing and in-service activities under the relevant regulations. It involves many interfaces with departments, so good social skills are appreciated.

Key responsibilities

• Design and validate electrical harnesses and equipment installations across the design phases, up to manufacturing support and in-service activities.
• Apply the relevant regulations, installation processes, methods, tools and procedures.
• Work with evolving processes and tools for electrical design and adapt to continuous changes during design, manufacturing and service phases.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3-5 years of engineering experience in a Design/Airframe department.
• Open mind and strong adaptability to new topics, new business and networked work.
• Dynamic, able to cope with the complexity of system integration and aircraft certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to propose new ideas.
• Advanced English and Spanish; German or French is an asset.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electrical and/or electromechanical design, including CATIA V5 (CATIA V6/3DX desirable).
• Aircraft certification process knowledge is appreciated.
