Electrical Wind Engineer

About the role

GE Vernova is looking for a recent Electrical Engineering graduate to join its professional engineering function in Barcelona. The engineer supports the design, validation and continuous improvement of electrical sub-system components used in wind turbines, such as cabinets, harnesses, motors, batteries and turbine-integrated systems. The role sits within one of the sub-system groups, either pitch or power conversion, and covers the full engineering process from requirements definition to design release.

Key responsibilities

• Design, validate and release electrical sub-system components.
• Apply the design process from requirements definition through concept, design, release and validation.
• Contribute to specifications, drawings, schematics, bills of material and design documentation.
• Support design reviews and engineering change activities.
• Develop understanding of DFMEA, design risks and mitigation actions.
• Support testing and validation to confirm design intent, compliance and performance.
• Work with cross-functional teams on component development, product integration and continuous improvement.
• Maintain engineering documentation and support quality and safety requirements.
• Contribute to troubleshooting, root cause analysis and design improvement under supervision.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited university.
• Entry-level or early-career experience.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• Interest in a long-term career within the organization.
• Ability to work independently, strong academic foundation, quick learner and good communication and teamwork skills.
