Electronic Test Engineer – Validation & Troubleshooting

About the role

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a detail‑oriented Electronic Test Engineer to support the testing, validation, and troubleshooting of advanced electronic assemblies and systems for its global cellular broadband network in space. The role is essential for ensuring product performance, reliability, and quality throughout development and production phases.

Key responsibilities

• Perform functional, validation, and acceptance testing of electronic assemblies and PCBAs.
• Execute test procedures, record data, and document results according to internal quality standards.
• Understand and configure test rack designs, and create new test units as needed.
• Design and fabricate harnesses for test setups.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical failures down to the component level.
• Operate and maintain oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF test equipment, power supplies, signal generators, and data acquisition systems.
• Interpret PCB schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, and quality procedures.
• Identify recurring test failures, escalate process issues, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or a related field.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in electronic testing, monitoring, or production support.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams and meet deadlines.
