EME Systems Engineer

About the role

A position as EME Systems Engineer has opened within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate joins the TADYX1 team responsible for electromagnetic protection of aircraft structures and systems and antenna integration. The team works on several military programmes and covers the full development V-cycle, from capturing customer and airworthiness requirements to aircraft certification, delivery and in-service support.

Required profile

• Degree in Telecommunications, Aeronautical, Electrical or Physics engineering, or Physics
• At least 5 years of engineering experience with a strong background in electromagnetism theory, electromagnetic protection of aircraft structures and systems/equipment and aircraft design
• Knowledge of platform-level integration (specification, validation, verification, certification/qualification)
• Good technical skills, familiarity with R/T and R&D projects, and ability to work autonomously and in a team
• Advanced English

Required skills

• Use of advanced electromagnetic simulation and modelling tools for EME design and antenna integration (CST, FEKO, etc.)
• CAD management, computational tools and post-processing
• Programming in C# and advanced CATIA
• Knowledge of standards and regulations for EME equipment qualification and aircraft certification (DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, CS/FAR25, etc.)
