ERP Master Data MDG Consultant - SAP S/4HANA

About the role

Roche is looking for an IT Expert and Consultant for its SAP S/4HANA and MDG Material Master Data Global Template team in Madrid. The role leads the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the Global Template, defines and governs material master data standards, ensures data quality, lineage and metadata accuracy, and enforces data governance policies with business and technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve the Global Template, partnering with Business Product, Process and Content owners on strategic enhancements
• Work with Enterprise and Solution Architects to define technical architecture patterns for master data initiatives
• Handle process design, configuration, testing assistance, requirements gathering and fit-gap analysis, delivering a fully functional MDG environment
• Coordinate deliverables across cross-functional IT teams such as Build and Test factories
• Run feasibility studies and process design reviews for the SAP S/4HANA / MDG solution
• Coordinate dependencies such as data migration, harmonization and IT integration while keeping to global template principles

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum 6 years of dedicated experience as an SAP Material Master Data IT Functional or Technical Consultant
• At least 3 full-lifecycle implementations of the SAP MDG Material Master module (Consolidation, Mass Processing, DQM, Integration, MDQ)
• Experience with large-scale data governance projects and independently leading data governance policies
• Proven experience managing data assets and data quality, lineage and metadata

Required skills

• Deep functional and technical knowledge of SAP Material Master (Procure-to-Pay, Manufacturing, Quality Management) and expert-level SAP configuration
• SAP Customizing and ABAP (design, implementation, debugging)
• Advanced BRF+ knowledge, including rule-based workflow services
• Strong knowledge of data privacy laws and compliance standards
• Hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager and Focused Build cycles
• Nice to have: SAP MDG certification, and basic understanding of SAP BTP and middleware integrations
