ERP Specialist - Finance

About the role

Destinus, a provider of UAV solutions for the defense industry, is looking for an ERP Specialist - Finance in Madrid. You will plan, execute and deliver ERP projects in close collaboration with the external ERP implementation partner, keeping timelines, budgets and quality expectations in line. The role focuses on maintaining the system, optimizing workflows, safeguarding data integrity and working with several departments so that ERP functions match real business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Convert finance requirements into functional solutions in the ERP platform and reduce off-system work.
• Develop a deployment roadmap and manage integration with existing operations.
• Chair and run regular project team meetings and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
• Gather and challenge needs from finance, production and operations teams, and assess business processes and functional requirements.
• Ensure solutions comply with internal and regulatory policies and that non-conforming processes are addressed.
• Contribute financial input to the wider Enterprise Systems strategy and align financial processes across functions such as Operations.
• Monitor project performance, report progress, apply risk management and mitigate or escalate risks.
• Train employees on the ERP system and other IT tools, and create and maintain configuration, process and training documentation.
• Analyze, optimize and digitize existing business processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or Business Administration.
• Experience managing projects and coordinating with stakeholders during ERP implementation, and a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams.
• Ability to identify, document and communicate technical requirements to developers and support deployments.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical people and train users.
• Availability to travel within Europe to different Destinus group sites.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of D365 F&O architecture, interfaces and integration, and best practices.
• In-depth knowledge of ERP modules, databases and reporting, plus data management and integration.
• Experience using integration tools to troubleshoot and support integrations between D365 F&O and other systems.
