Field Service Engineer – Food Sorting Systems

About the role

TOMRA Food, a multinational provider of sensor-based sorting, peeling and post-harvest solutions for the food industry, is looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer based in or around Sevilla or Valencia. The role covers commissioning, operation, testing, integration, optimization, maintenance, training and repair of TOMRA equipment, mainly in Spain and Portugal, with up to 80% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Perform field service activities: installation, commissioning, operation, testing, optimization, maintenance and repair of TOMRA equipment
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal machine performance and customer satisfaction
• Carry out mechanical, electrical, electronic and optical adjustments and configurations
• Train customers on the operation and maintenance of TOMRA systems
• Provide technical support and expert advice to help customers reduce food waste
• Prepare accurate service reports and work with internal teams
• Travel up to 80% of the time, mostly within Spain, with occasional international travel

Required profile

• Technical education in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Industrial Maintenance or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in field service, industrial maintenance or technical customer support
• Proven experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of industrial equipment
• Fluent Spanish and a good command of English (minimum B2)
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Practical knowledge of analog and digital circuits, power supply systems and PLCs
• Good understanding of IT, networking and PC configuration
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and customer service skills
