Field Service Technician – Electrical Systems

About the role

Join Sécheron Hasler Group as a Field Service Technician based in Getafe, supporting our global railway and industrial customers. You will ensure the reliable installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical and electromechanical equipment, often on-site.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and execute installation, testing, commissioning, and training activities for customer projects.
• Perform emergency interventions, repairs on‑site or at company facilities, and routine audits.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and support sales engineers with substation surveys, access permissions, and repair quotations.
• Identify and promote new business opportunities such as spare‑part sales, modernisation, retrofits, and maintenance contracts.
• Assist with spare‑part and tool inventory management.
• Travel up to 75% of the time, including worldwide assignments.

Required profile

• Technician or associate degree in electrical or electromechanical engineering.
• Training in electrical hazards, safety, and protection of electrical equipment.
• Proven experience in installation, testing, commissioning, and preferably maintenance of electrical equipment, especially DC traction substations.
• Fluency in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong organisational skills, ability to work autonomously and within a team, and willingness to travel extensively.
