Field Service Technician - Instrumentation & Analytics

About the role

ABB's Measurement & Analytics Division, a leading manufacturer of smart instrumentation and analyzers, is hiring a Field Service Technician in Madrid. The technician performs service work on instrumentation and analytics products across Spain, following work instructions and ABB quality and safety guidelines, and reports to the Field Service Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Perform field service tasks, identify technical issues and carry out analysis on site in certified product categories.
• Work with customers on site to find ways to improve their operations and remove pain points.
• Prepare material lists and ensure parts and equipment are available and of the right quality.
• Act as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers.
• Communicate service timelines and expectations to retain customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or similar, or vocational training such as FPII in a technical field.
• At least 2 years of experience in industrial environments doing similar work.
• Willingness to travel around Spain and a valid driver's license.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
