Field Service Technician – Pre‑Commissioning & After‑Sales Support

About the role

As a Field Service Technician II you will be the primary on‑site contact during the operational phase of industrial projects. You will support customers through installation, commissioning, and after‑sales activities, ensuring smooth hand‑over of the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Track and report logistics during material supply.
• Provide technical support throughout construction phases, identifying and reporting issues.
• Supervise mechanical and electrical installation during pre‑commissioning.
• Coordinate on‑site activities with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare weekly progress reports covering status, incidents and non‑conformities.
• Produce technical documentation for pre‑, cold‑ and hot‑commissioning.
• Configure and commission plant control and communication systems.
• Perform troubleshooting during plant optimisation and analyse availability data.
• Deliver product training and support warranty/after‑sales activities.

Required profile

• Advanced technical degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical or Telecommunications).
• 3‑5 years of relevant field service experience.
• Strong organisational, planning and autonomous work skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.
• Fluent English (minimum B2) with good communication abilities.

• Python programming.
• Siemens PLC configuration.
• Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
