Field Service Technician – Railway Electrical Systems

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Field Service Technician to join our team in Getafe, supporting our global railway customers. You will be responsible for on‑site installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical and electromechanical equipment, ensuring high‑quality service and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service by delivering efficient field activities worldwide.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning and training at customer sites.
• Execute emergency interventions, on‑site repairs, and repairs at our facilities.
• Perform audits, preventive maintenance, and produce technical reports.
• Support sales engineers with substation surveys, access permissions and quotation preparation.
• Identify new business opportunities such as spare‑part sales, modernisation, retrofits and maintenance contracts.
• Assist with spare‑part and tool inventory management.
• Travel up to 75 % of the time, including worldwide assignments.

Required profile

• Technician or associate degree in electrical or electromechanical engineering.
• Training in electrical hazards, safety, protection and control of electrical equipment.
• Proven experience in installation, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Preferably experience with DC traction substations and railway applications.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
• Active, organized, able to work autonomously and within a team.
