Finance Internship - Hotel Sales Department

About the role

Sofitel Barcelona Skipper, a 5-star hotel in the city centre near the beach, is offering a full-time finance internship within its Sales department. The intern audits daily income, supports the month-end process and helps improve financial processes. The internship lasts at least 6 months, 5 days a week, 40 hours a week.

Key responsibilities

• Audit daily income received and make sure room, food and beverage and other revenues are correctly recorded in the accounting system.
• Support the income audit and cash processes and propose improvements.
• Reconcile revenues and payments registered in the PMS with receivables on the bank account.
• Review and verify incoming invoices and handle supplier emails and calls.
• Support the team with the month-end process and assist in reconciling balance sheet accounts.
• Filing and scanning of documents and retrieving information for audit.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a hospitality school or a business school.
• Eligible to work in Spain from the start date; no visa or work permit sponsorship available.
• Strong social and communication skills, proactive, enthusiastic and detail-oriented.
• Eager to learn, with no prior specialization required.
• Excellent command of Spanish and English; French is a plus.
