Finance Specialist

About the role

ING Hubs Spain is looking for a hands-on Finance Specialist to support the finance function of a fast-growing company in Spain. The role combines financial control, reporting, process management and participation in finance automation initiatives. Accounting and statutory reporting are handled by an external provider, while the specialist monitors the quality of financial information, coordinates monthly reporting and supports automation; once local systems are in place, selected accounting tasks may move to the specialist.

Key responsibilities

• Accounting and reporting: support monthly closing with the external provider, review accounting records, prepare and coordinate monthly financial and management reports, and support statutory reporting, tax compliance and external audit.
• Processes and controls: create and document finance processes and controls (accounting, invoicing, payments, reporting, procurement, fixed assets) and identify opportunities for automation, standardisation and efficiency gains.
• Finance projects: take part in implementing finance systems, automation initiatives and new ways of working.
• Business support: prepare regular and ad-hoc management reports, coordinate intercompany invoicing, and support budgeting, forecasting and annual pricing.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
• At least 5-6 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of Spanish accounting, tax and reporting requirements and IFRS.
• Experience with outsourced accounting providers is an advantage.
• Fluent English; independent, analytical and results-oriented.
