Financial Data Analyst

About the role

SeQura, a Barcelona-founded fintech providing payment technology for merchants, is looking for a Financial Data Analyst to build the financial data backbone of the company. The role focuses on designing, building and maintaining the single source of financial truth across P&L, cash flow, balance sheet and unit economics, and on creating the models, pipelines and tools that replace manual work. It suits people who have worked hands-on with AI tools and want to build an AI-first finance data platform for forecasting, planning, reporting and decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Help design, build and maintain the single source of financial truth across P&L, cash flow, balance sheet and unit economics.
• Use AI (Claude), automation and the data stack to build models, pipelines and tools that replace manual work.
• Identify slow, manual or fragile processes and re-engineer them end to end.
• Partner with the business on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and scenario planning, and support a move to rolling, driver-based forecasts.
• Prepare Board-, leadership- and investor-ready materials and the tooling behind them.
• Promote adoption of finance and analytics tools (AI, Abacum, BI, automation, anomaly detection).
• Contribute to a Strategic Finance function based on ownership, automation and analytical rigor.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance or a similar analytical role in a high-growth fintech, SaaS, lending or complex environment.
• Proven ability to build driver-based financial models across P&L, cash flow, balance sheet and unit economics.
• Active use of AI tools in daily work, with a track record of replacing manual tasks with automation.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
• Experience with NetSuite, Abacum and Embat is a plus.
