Fintech Analyst - Fraud Prevention

About the role

Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for a Fintech Analyst in Barcelona to join a team focused on fraud prevention. The role combines risk analysis, machine learning support and data visualisation to reduce fraud losses and improve profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to reduce fraud losses across different streams and improve profitability through advanced risk rules and machine learning.
• Implement end-to-end fraud prevention strategies: design controls, run rollouts, measure impact and iterate.
• Support the evaluation of fraud controls by helping set up, monitor and analyse A/B tests.
• Work with Product, Engineering and Data Science to propose preventive fraud controls.
• Analyse risk with SQL, Python and analytics platforms such as Looker and BigQuery to spot emerging fraud patterns and track key metrics.
• Partner with Data Science to define features, validate model outputs and flag performance drift.
• Maintain a centralised escalation process for suspected fraud, with timely reviews and regional adaptation of risk controls.
• Build and maintain executive dashboards in Looker tracking fraud OKRs, financial exposure and compliance metrics.
• Communicate complex fraud topics clearly to local operations, senior leadership and external partners.

Required profile

• 1-3 years of experience in fraud prevention, risk management, fintech or analytics.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related quantitative field.
• Theoretical understanding of precision vs. recall and A/B testing.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, and proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Strong analytical skills with SQL; Python or other analytical tools are a plus.
• Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau or similar.
