Fleet Transition Engineer

About the role

Volotea is looking for a Fleet Transition Engineer to manage aircraft entry into service, phase‑out, modifications and technical transitions. You will ensure every aircraft joins or leaves the fleet in perfect operational, safety and regulatory condition, supporting the airline’s growth and operational success.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate aircraft deliveries and redeliveries to guarantee smooth, timely transitions.
• Act as the technical point of contact with lessors during audits and acceptance/rejection procedures.
• Work with MROs and service providers to complete required repairs, modifications or reconfigurations.
• Provide technical support for lease agreements, acquisitions or sales of aircraft.
• Follow up on maintenance tasks, modifications and reconfigurations to meet standards.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Legal and Operations teams on transition activities.
• Review documentation for compliance with EASA/AESA regulations and lease terms.
• Prepare technical reports, identify discrepancies and support risk assessments.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (Master’s in Aircraft Engineering is a plus).
• At least 2 years of experience in fleet technical management.
• Hands‑on experience with aircraft transition projects, preferably involving the Airbus A320 family.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong organizational, analytical and service‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AMOS maintenance software.
• Familiarity with Airbus manuals and data sources.
• Technical knowledge of Airbus A320 family aircraft.
