Flight Line Maintenance Manager - C295 Fleet

About the role

Aerospacial manufacturer Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Flight Line Maintenance Manager for its MRO Network Team at the Matacán Air Base in Salamanca. The role leads line and base maintenance activities for the C295 fleet, reinforcing production capabilities at the base. The jobholder manages, coordinates and certifies scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events in line with Aircraft Maintenance (AM) Working Party procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate and certify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for C295 aircraft in Matacán according to AM Working Party procedures.
• Lead and supervise local maintenance teams to ensure smooth production flow across line and base maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards for all maintenance deliverables and certifications.
• Oversee daily line maintenance and resolve technical issues quickly to keep the fleet ready.
• Coordinate with planning, engineering and support teams to prepare and run scheduled base maintenance events.

Required profile

• Aeronautical or industrial engineering degree, or a related technical discipline.
• Almost 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and MRO operations, including leadership in a similar MRO position.
• Advanced Spanish (written and spoken); English fluency is a plus.
• Occasional national travel to other Airbus facilities or client sites for training or team meetings.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures and regulatory frameworks (AM procedures for Working Parties).
• Production control knowledge.
• Nice to have: EASA Part-66 license (CAT C desirable) and hands-on experience with the C295 platform.
• Team leadership, decision-making, problem-solving and communication skills.
