Flight Services Support Engineer – Aeronautical Information

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking an experienced Flight Services Support professional to manage and coordinate all flight‑related activities for test campaigns in Getafe, Madrid. The role ensures safety, efficiency and regulatory compliance across all phases of flight operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end support for Airbus Defence and Space flight activities, including test area coordination, overflight permits, ATC liaison, route planning, flight plans, PPR, slots, weather, NOTAM, EFB updates, fuel orders and special authorisations.
• Develop, optimise and communicate flight test plans and dispatch documentation, ensuring all regulatory authorisations are available.
• Monitor test execution to improve efficiency, maturity and safety, and coordinate all aspects of test campaigns.
• Operate test support equipment such as telemetry and radio systems.
• Screen and optimise test requests, work with stakeholders to ensure readiness, and manage certification documentation.
• Assist flight crew in maintaining licences, qualifications and currency according to internal procedures.
• Process and control flight services invoices using internal SAP tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in flight services or aerospace test support.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish and international aviation regulations.
• Proven ability to enforce flight safety and compliance.
• Experience working with SAP for invoice processing.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
