Flight Test Instrumentation System Engineer – Operations (Sevilla)

About the role

Airbus Defence & Space is looking for a Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) System Engineer to join its Sevilla team. You will work closely with colleagues across multiple sites to ensure that flight‑test means are designed, built, operated and maintained to support all flight‑testing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and refine flight‑test means requirements, defining verification and validation strategies with stakeholders.
• Support design and production teams during integration of flight‑test means, ensuring compliance with airworthiness and customer requirements.
• Operate airborne and ground flight‑test means, performing functional checks and preparing equipment for test flights.
• Process and secure flight‑test data, delivering results to customers and maintaining data confidentiality.
• Maintain configuration control of flight‑test means, performing first‑level troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering (any discipline).
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in aerospace or flight‑test environments.
• Native Spanish speaker or equivalent proficiency.
• Advanced English proficiency; French or German is a plus.

Required skills

• Operation of Flight Test Instrumentation systems (airborne and ground).
• Data processing and handling for flight‑test campaigns.
• Understanding of airworthiness validation and verification processes.
