FP&A Controller - D365

About the role

Sulzer, a leading engineering company, is looking for a dynamic FP&A Controller to join its Finance & Controlling team in Madrid, Spain. The role contributes to the success of a newly established office in central Madrid and involves collaboration with international stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate the annual budget aligned with company objectives and financial goals.
• Refresh and update predictive financial forecasts regularly.
• Carry out profitability and performance reporting and detailed plan analytics and risk assessments.
• Provide recommendations to the business based on financial analysis and report on procurement activities.
• Manage collections reporting and analytics.
• Oversee period-end close, project tracking and reporting, and CAPEX planning, forecasting and investment strategy.
• Ensure financial reporting complies with IFRS and maintains strong internal controls, and comply with relevant QESH regulations.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or similar finance roles; exposure to the industrial sector is a plus.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to communicate insights to leadership, work with regional and global stakeholders and act independently.

Required skills

• Strong financial modelling, forecasting and data analytics skills.
• Proficiency in Tagetik, Qlik and/or integrated ERP systems is advantageous; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a nice-to-have.
