Front Office Internship

About the role

Sofitel Barcelona Skipper, a 5-star upscale hotel in the city centre near the beach, is offering a full-time Front Office internship. The intern learns to deliver a smooth and efficient experience to guests at registration, during their stay and at check-out, while working alongside colleagues and management.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process guest reservations accurately and efficiently, following hotel policies and procedures.
• Handle incoming calls professionally and politely, aiming for total customer satisfaction.
• Ensure accuracy of reservations, including deposits, billing and credit details, VIP and guest special requests, room rates and guest information.
• Follow procedures for guest transportation, luggage collection and storage, and protect guest confidentiality.
• Keep equipment in good working order and use it only for its intended purpose.
• Complete all required tasks accurately and within the given time frames.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a hospitality school or a business school.
• Legal right to undertake an internship in Spain from the start date; no visa or work permit sponsorship available.
• Strong social and communication skills, proactive, enthusiastic and detail-oriented.
• Eager to learn; no prior specialization required.
• Available for at least 6 months, 5 days a week, 40 hours a week.

Required skills

• Excellent command of Spanish and English; French is a plus.
