Frontend Engineer (React)

About the role

Huzzle connects talent with leading companies across the UK, US, Canada, Europe and Australia; its clients are startups, SaaS platforms and digital-first businesses. You will be placed directly with a client as an in-house team member, working remotely on a rapidly scaling web application. The role suits someone who enjoys turning design concepts into responsive, pixel-perfect interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, high-quality user interfaces using React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Translate UI/UX designs into clean, scalable and reusable code
• Optimise applications for speed, performance and cross-browser compatibility
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and backend engineers to deliver new features
• Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code following best practices
• Integrate APIs and work closely with backend services
• Take part in code reviews and help improve development processes

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in front-end development
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for building great user experiences

Required skills

• JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3
• React.js (or Vue or Angular); TypeScript
• State management such as Redux, Zustand or Context API
• RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming
• Responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Git and testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress
• Next.js or server-side rendering frameworks, and styling tools such as Tailwind CSS or Styled Components
