Full Stack Developer - E-commerce

About the role

Netenders is an international e-commerce group based in Barcelona, running several online stores across Europe and North America and developing its own e-commerce CMS. It is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join its in-house tech team and help build and improve its e-commerce platforms. The position is full-time and on-site in the Barcelona office, with hybrid flexibility, and is open to both permanent employees and freelancers.

Key responsibilities

• Redesign, customize and optimize e-commerce websites
• Build and maintain React-based frontends
• Develop verticals for different product categories and business units
• Improve and expand the internal e-commerce CMS, including the purchase order process and supplier integrations, and handling large data volumes
• Build back-office services for product management, pricing and SEO data
• Design and maintain clean, scalable APIs and frontend integrations
• Review pull requests from other developers and share best practices
• Work closely with Product, IT, Marketing and Design teams

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development, especially recent versions (5+) and upgrades between them
• 3+ years building modern frontend applications with React
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and design patterns across frontend and backend
• Experience in e-commerce implementations or complex backend systems
• Passion for scalable, maintainable code and for mentoring others
