GCP DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) DevOps Engineer to join our AI & Data team in Madrid. You will enable the design, development and deployment of scalable AI solutions, ensuring the infrastructure and automation pipelines support the full AI lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage robust CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML models and Generative AI applications.
• Build and maintain cloud‑native infrastructure on GCP to support data ingestion, model training, production deployment and monitoring.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or InfraManager.
• Implement a FinOps strategy to ensure cost attribution, traceability and optimisation across the stack.
• Design and implement secure networking and cloud security architectures aligned with Santander’s standards.
• Collaborate closely with AI experts, data scientists, ML engineers and enterprise technology partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience with GCP and DevOps practices in a cloud‑native environment.
• Strong automation mindset with hands‑on experience in IaC tools.
• Understanding of cost management (FinOps) and cloud security best practices.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with AI and data teams.
