Global Control Tower Lead

About the role

Maersk is looking for a Control Tower Operations Lead to drive the implementation and ongoing operation of a global logistics network. Based in Valencia, the role ensures operational readiness, governs end-to-end execution and leads cross-functional coordination to deliver stable, efficient and customer-focused operations. It translates network design into operational reality through processes, risk management, governance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational readiness activities, including process design, SOPs, training and go-live planning.
• Establish and drive governance routines to monitor performance, manage risks and resolve operational issues on time.
• Own operational standards covering planning, booking coordination, milestone tracking, exception management and escalation processes.
• Ensure routing guides, service rules, lead times and operational procedures are embedded in daily work.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Network Planning, Operations, IT and external partners to support service delivery.
• Monitor performance, identify improvements and drive corrective actions.
• Lead post-go-live stabilization, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Manage operational risks across suppliers, transport providers, terminals, systems and other dependencies.

Required profile

• Experience in control tower operations, logistics, transportation, supply chain or network operations.
• Proven experience leading operational governance, process implementation and large-scale operational transitions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in a fast-paced, international environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, risk management and decision-making abilities.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of multimodal logistics and end-to-end supply chain processes.
• Change management skills and the ability to balance standardization, customer requirements and business objectives.
