Global Electronics Materials Cost Optimization - Operations Lead

About the role

Lear is looking for an MCO Operations Lead to drive the execution, governance and performance management of its Electronics Material Cost Optimization (MCO) roadmap. The role acts as the key link between Engineering, Purchasing, Program Management, Finance and MCO teams, helping cost optimization opportunities move from identification through implementation to financial realization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution and governance of the MCO roadmap.
• Manage and maintain MCO opportunities in LearPro and Foundry to keep data accurate and progress visible.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement cost optimization initiatives.
• Monitor roadmap performance, implementation status and savings achievement against targets.
• Conduct financial booking reviews with Controllers to validate savings accurately.
• Own weekly, monthly and executive-level reporting on MCO performance and key initiatives.
• Identify, track and escalate roadblocks affecting timelines and financial results.
• Analyze funnel performance metrics and recommend actions to improve conversion and execution speed.
• Facilitate alignment between Engineering, Purchasing, Program Management, Finance and MCO stakeholders, and ensure timely closure of actions and escalations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive electronics, product engineering, cost engineering, purchasing, program management, product development or a related field.
• Strong understanding of automotive electronic products such as PCBs, semiconductors, passive components, connectors and electromechanical systems.
• Experience applying value engineering, design-to-cost or cost optimization methods in a technical environment.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Foundry, LearPro, Power BI or similar analytics tools is an advantage.
• Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is located.
