Global Operations Associate

About the role

Flexport is looking for a Global Operations Associate in Barcelona. You will be an expert in executing the end-to-end movement of shipments within a regional network, coordinating supply chain operations with ocean activities in your region. The role focuses on quality and on-time performance, works closely with peers and supervisors to solve problems, and coordinates with carriers, vendors, customs and other partners.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure shipments move on time, handle exceptions proactively and communicate clearly with clients
• Meet internal KPIs and SLAs, manage your own priorities and escalate issues when needed
• Follow SOPs and flag opportunities for improvement
• Solve client issues quickly and act in the company's interest, avoiding leakages
• Coordinate day-to-day operations with internal and external partners such as carriers, vendors, customs and regional trade lanes
• Execute end-to-end freight shipment movement (imports and exports), including intermodal movements
• Assist shipments managed by partners and use data and operational tools to improve efficiency

Required profile

• BA/BS degree or completed professional training as a forwarding agent
• 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics or freight forwarding
• Mandatory Spanish and fluent English
• Attention to detail, effective time management and prioritisation
• Compliance-first attitude and strong client service mindset
