Head of Clinical Operations

About the role

Impress is a fast‑growing health‑tech company that operates a network of technology‑enabled orthodontic clinics across Europe. We are seeking a Head of Clinical Operations to partner with the Co‑founder and Chief Medical Officer in translating the clinical vision into repeatable, measurable processes that scale across all clinics and markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run the monthly and quarterly clinical operations cadence, including medical council meetings, clinical business reviews and escalation forums.
• Establish, rollout and continuously update clinical protocols, SOPs and training programmes, ensuring they are audited and adhered to across countries.
• Build and manage a clinical quality and audit programme, defining KPIs, conducting audits, triaging findings and driving corrective actions.
• Lead doctor training and continuous professional development in partnership with the People function.
• Oversee clinical incident management, including reporting, root‑cause analysis and escalation to the Medical Director.
• Coach and align Medical Directors across markets, fostering a high‑performing community with shared standards.
• Collaborate with General Managers, Finance, Product and Tech on medical operations, productivity, budgeting and new clinic roll‑outs.
• Provide clinical operations input for market expansion, M&A due diligence and regulatory matters.

Required profile

• Proven experience in scaling operational processes within a clinical or health‑care environment.
• Strong ability to translate clinical standards into documented, trainable, and auditable procedures.
• Excellent judgment for leading a skilled clinical workforce without being a senior clinician.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
