Head of Design

About the role

Rain is the world’s first AI Financial Health Platform, serving millions of employees at leading organisations. As Head of Design you will lead the product design team and partner with Product, Engineering and Marketing to shape the experience of our mobile app, employer portal, internal tools and brand assets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee UI/UX design for the mobile app, employer web portal and internal admin tools.
• Expand and maintain a global design system and visual language.
• Drive design for new initiatives such as an AI financial assistant, card products, lending solutions and personal finance tools.
• Produce marketing collateral, guide brand evolution and manage motion‑design resources.
• Collaborate with Product and GTM teams to translate loosely defined requirements into intuitive features.
• Hire and mentor at least one additional designer by year‑end.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and shipping complex mobile applications in the fintech space.
• Hands‑on leader who stays ahead of design trends and solves complex UX challenges.
• Expert in design thinking, capable of defining requirements and delivering the best version of every asset.
• Experience directing motion‑design work and managing freelance resources.
