Head of Marketing Expansion

About the role

As Head of Marketing Expansion you will own the end‑to‑end marketing strategy for Preply’s new growth missions, partnering with senior leadership to launch and scale new subjects, audiences and markets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the marketing vision for Expansion, setting strategic direction for new verticals and audience segments.
• Shape go‑to‑market strategy, including positioning, messaging and channel plans for non‑language subjects.
• Drive brand positioning beyond language learning in partnership with Brand and Product Marketing.
• Set performance frameworks, KPIs and reporting cadence across the funnel for new segments.
• Lead cross‑functional alignment as the primary marketing voice in senior forums.
• Develop repeatable go‑to‑market playbooks adaptable across subjects, geographies and personas.

Required profile

• Senior marketing leadership experience in high‑growth, international environments.
• Strategic depth with hands‑on execution credibility across channels and creative direction.
• Proven expertise launching into new markets, categories or audience segments.
• Strong analytical rigor and ability to build business cases for marketing investment.
• Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder influence skills.
• Experience building and leading high‑performing senior marketing teams.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of brand positioning and its impact on business outcomes.
• Expertise in performance marketing frameworks and KPI definition.
• Ability to translate data‑driven insights into actionable marketing plans.
