Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Hoxton is opening a new hotel in Madrid, a 192-room property on Plaza de Santa Ana with five room categories, an open-plan lobby, a rooftop bar, an Italian restaurant and a meeting space. The group is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to support the new hotel's teams, act as a partner to the business and help position the brand as an employer of choice.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the business on everything relating to the care of its teams, giving advice and guidance
• Implement and manage policies, processes and procedures in compliance with local employment law
• Run recruitment strategies that attract talent and build a talent pool for succession planning
• Work with heads of department on development opportunities and career paths, with input from the Director of Learning and Development
• Embed The Hoxton values and promote a fair, safe and inclusive environment
• Drive the talent review process, from informal chats and annual reviews to talent and career management
• Lead activities under the "Do More" global initiative working with local charities and community projects
• Support managers on employee relations and performance management cases
• Contribute ideas to European and global projects and rollouts

Required profile

• At least 2 years' experience across all aspects of human resources within the hospitality industry
• Previous experience opening a hotel is a big plus
• Comfortable recruiting at high volume
• Experience dealing with legal and performance issues
• Passion for hospitality and a positive, collaborative attitude
