Indirect Procurement Student

About the role

GEA is looking for an Indirect Procurement Student to join its team in Alcobendas (Madrid) and gain hands-on experience in an international environment. The role supports the global procurement team across Facility Management, Real Estate, Energy, External Resources, IT and Travel.

Key responsibilities

• Support the global procurement team in the service areas of Facility Management, Real Estate, Energy, External Resources, IT and Travel.
• Define, implement and track a category team report on main KPIs such as savings and net working capital, and share status updates in team meetings.
• Prepare for and take part in stakeholder and supplier meetings and negotiations.
• Help Category Managers update, communicate and execute procurement strategies.
• Document supplier agreements in GEA systems and support the team during tenders, including negotiations.
• Analyze spend data and set up and maintain category homepages on the GEA intranet.
• Support internal procurement initiatives such as Net Working Capital and identify opportunities independently.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, eligible to undertake a student work placement as part of the academic program.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; German is a plus. Only applications submitted in English will be considered.
• Knowledge of and interest in AI-based solutions, such as building AI agents.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
