Insurance Professional – Hybrid (Port of Spain)

About the role

Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited is seeking a full‑time Insurance Professional to join its Port of Spain team. This hybrid position combines office‑based work with flexible remote days, supporting the underwriting and administration of long‑term insurance products.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in underwriting and servicing long‑term insurance policies, including policy assessment and documentation.
• Prepare quotations, process applications, and coordinate with brokers and internal teams.
• Respond to client inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records in the company’s insurance systems.
• Contribute to sales and retention initiatives, attend meetings and training sessions, and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge and practical experience in insurance and insurance brokerage.
• Foundational understanding of finance, financial products, or investment activities.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Proven customer‑service orientation, empathy, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant professional certification or diploma in insurance, finance, or business is an asset.

• Proficiency with standard office software and insurance administration systems.
