Integration & Test Management (Military Derivatives)

About the role

An Integration & Test Management position is open within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The role leads the flight and ground test strategy for key military aircraft programmes, acting as the central interface between design, test centres, commercial units and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a mature Simulation & Test Strategy from concept to certification, coordinating with the Design Authority and Test Centre.
• Define stakeholder requirements, set up V‑model development processes and manage compliance matrices for civil certification and military acceptance.
• Lead definition, development, commissioning and execution of test rigs, test benches and Flight Test Instrumentation for prototype data capture.
• Coordinate aircraft test bench integration with manufacturing and manage test execution on ground setups and aircraft test centres before flight campaigns.
• Drive problem‑solving and risk mitigation during high‑intensity test campaigns to optimise execution, control flight‑hour costs and meet programme milestones.
• Act as primary technical contact across multidisciplinary teams, including Airbus Commercial, external partners and military end‑users.

Required profile

• Aeronautical, Industrial Engineering or related technical degree.
• Minimum 5 years experience in systems engineering, V&V, aircraft testing or development programmes.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently to test locations (about once a month).

• In‑depth knowledge of the V‑model development lifecycle.
• Systems V&V processes and compliance matrix management.
• Test bench definition, operation and integration.
• Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) design and data capture.
