Intern, Cybersecurity, Forensic & Litigation Consulting

About the role

FTI Consulting is looking for an intern for its Cybersecurity Team in Madrid. As part of a relatively new, entrepreneurial team, you will help protect national and international clients from cyberattacks, supporting them with long-term security solutions and strategies. This is a full-time, 6-month internship starting between January and March 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Support responses to cyber incidents and forensic investigations, including evidence identification and seizure, data preservation, imaging and analysis, chain of custody maintenance, and malware and artifact analysis
• Assist with regulatory compliance projects, such as assessing organisations' compliance with cyber regulations and cyber transformation and maturity projects
• Keep up with cybersecurity regulations and analyse new and existing ones for Spanish organisations
• Contribute to reports and updates for law firms, financial institutions and multinational corporations on cyber threats and trends, and to client proposals and pitches
• Support the team's marketing activities
• Develop a solid understanding of industry trends, threats, methods and technologies

Required profile

• Graduation date after January 2024
• Bachelor's or Master's degree, ideally with relevant coursework, certification or training in cybersecurity and ideally including digital forensics modules
• Able to commit to 40 hours per week and start between January and March 2027
• Preferred: excellent academic background, fluency in Spanish and strong English, results-driven and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
