IT Senior Associate / Officer – Talent Pool

About the role

IDB Invest is building a Talent Pool of highly qualified IT Senior Associates or Officers to support its current and future business needs across Latin America and the Caribbean. The role focuses on planning, implementing, and supporting technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud‑based data pipelines and Lakehouse solutions on Databricks and Azure for analytics, BI, AI, and ML use cases.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to develop reliable ETL/ELT processes, ensure data quality, governance, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot and modernize data platforms while contributing to best practices in architecture, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field.
• 3‑4 years of experience as a Data Engineer in cloud‑based environments.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages (Spanish, Portuguese, French) are a plus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Databricks (platform administration, PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure data services (ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL/Data Warehouse).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and data‑governance tools such as Unity Catalog (Collibra is a plus).
