IT Support Engineer

About the role

ALST is looking for a passionate and driven IT Support Engineer to join its growing IT team in Malaga. This full-time role keeps the IT infrastructure running smoothly, minimises downtime and delivers expert technical support and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for IT support, logging and managing tickets through the helpdesk
• Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate them when needed, and monitor outages while following incident management and communication protocols
• Prioritise and manage incidents to reduce backlogs and business disruption
• Deploy, maintain and support end-user devices such as laptops, mobile phones and printers
• Administer Active Directory, user accounts and access permissions
• Support on-site infrastructure including servers, networks, audiovisual equipment and conferencing tools
• Manage IT assets, software licences and lifecycle processes
• Maintain backups, updates and system performance across IT environments
• Contribute to IT projects, system improvements and process enhancements

Required profile

• Minimum of three years' hands-on experience as an IT Support Technician, IT Support Engineer or in a similar role
• Experience providing IT support in a multi-site commercial environment
• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage workloads and work independently
• Eligibility: citizen or permanent resident of the country of application, or able to obtain a valid working visa

• Microsoft Windows Server and desktop environments
• Active Directory, Group Policy and Microsoft 365
• Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot and device deployment
• Virtualisation (VMware or Hyper-V) and backup tools such as Veeam
• Networking fundamentals and vendor management
