IT Support Specialist

About the role

Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join its Madrid office. You will be the primary point of contact for end‑user IT support across Spain and other European locations, while also providing remote assistance to the United States and LATAM offices during early US morning hours. The role works closely with the Singapore and Central IT teams to ensure system reliability, security compliance, and a consistent user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide remote troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues for Spain and other European offices.
• Manage the IT managed‑service vendor for the Netherlands office.
• Deliver remote support to US and LATAM offices during the first half of US morning hours.
• Collaborate with Singapore IT on infrastructure setup, system availability, security compliance, and standardisation.
• Maintain and upgrade IT equipment including firewalls, Wi‑Fi, VPN, NAS, video‑conferencing tools (Teams/Zoom), VOIP phones, printers and scanners.
• Conduct training on new software and systems, and support onboarding IT orientation.
• Assist in IT projects, security policies, system guidelines and compliance processes.
• Participate in IT audits and help standardise setups across offices.
• Log service requests, update tickets and keep the IT asset inventory current.
• Provide audio‑visual support for Teams meetings and town‑halls.
• Escalate incidents to Singapore or Central IT as needed and manage physical access and CCTV systems.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in an end‑user IT support role.

• Hardware, software and network troubleshooting.
• Video‑conferencing platforms (Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
• VOIP phone systems.
• Firewalls, Wi‑Fi, VPN and NAS administration.
