IT Support Specialist

About the role

Red Points, a digital revenue recovery platform used by over 1,000 companies to protect against counterfeiting and piracy, is looking for an IT Support Engineer to support its teams in the Barcelona office. The role provides technical support, advice and assistance to end users with hardware, software and system problems, working closely with the technology team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the inventory, maintenance and troubleshooting of laptops and workstations (mostly Mac, Windows and some Linux) and their peripherals
• Administer the main tools: ServiceDesk, Google Suite, Active Directory, LDAP, Proxmox, Zoom.us and Slack
• Help define and improve IT strategy, from device and license acquisition to networking, security and SSO
• Deploy and administer software
• Configure VPNs via OpenVPN with SSL certificate authentication
• Troubleshoot networking issues (VPN, TCP/IP, WAN, LAN) on site and remotely, including AV/VC meeting rooms and printers
• Set up backups and document procedures and common issues on Confluence
• Create tasks, subtasks and due dates in Jira
• Handle basic network management (VLANs, DNS, firewall, WiFi, DHCP)
• Provide multimedia support at company events

Required profile

• Good knowledge of GSuite and Active Directory
• Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira Service Desk
• Professional-level experience with OS X, Windows and Linux environments
• English and Spanish, written and spoken
• Experience as an IT support technician in changing environments, willingness to learn, and good time management and prioritisation
