Java Software Engineer (Identity Proofing)

About the role

Signicat, a pan-European digital identity company, is looking for a Java Software Engineer to join its Documents team, which focuses on document and image processing. You will design and develop services within distributed applications, working closely with the team, the product owner and the requirements for maintainability, testability, performance, security and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop services as part of distributed applications
• Collaborate closely with the team, the product owner and on requirements
• Take part in code reviews and continuously improve the platform

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience with Java v21 and Spring Boot
• Fluency in English and Spanish
• Plus: hands-on CI/CD experience, Agile and DevOps exposure, and previous work with document/image processing, biometrics compression, ML and AI

Required skills

• Java v21 and Spring Boot
• SQL and NoSQL databases
• Messaging systems such as RabbitMQ
• Microservices architecture
• Cloud-native concepts (scalability, resiliency, security)
