Junior Aerodynamics Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defence & Space is looking for a junior Aerodynamics Engineer to join its Flight Physics team in Getafe. You will work on the aerodynamic development and optimisation of defence and space aircraft, contributing to shape design, performance modelling and wind‑tunnel testing.

Key responsibilities

• Design external shapes of air vehicles and generate comprehensive aerodynamic models for steady and unsteady flight conditions.
• Produce performance, handling‑qualities and load data for customers, ensuring delivery on time, cost and quality.
• Develop and maintain aerodynamic prediction tools, databases and simulation methods.
• Support safe‑separation analyses and collaborate with multidisciplinary partners (structures, loads, stability & control, etc.).
• Participate in experimental wind‑tunnel campaigns and link with external research communities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering (PhD is a plus).
• Interest in aerodynamic modelling, CFD and wind‑tunnel testing.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, international environment.
