Junior Technical Training Specialist - Medical Devices

About the role

SGS, a global testing, inspection and certification company, is looking for a Junior Technical Training Specialist in Madrid. The role develops and delivers technical training for employees of the Medical Device segment, helping them acquire the skills and knowledge needed for effective conformity assessments under evolving medical device regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Training team in preparing and maintaining core medical device training courses, including converting raw material into e-learning modules with Subject Matter Experts
• Help manage training certificates, enrolments and records uploaded to CAPCAP, and work with CV reviewers
• Assist with peer reviews and marking of trainee exercises such as Technical File mirror reviews
• Support scheduling of training sessions (CPD, webinars, workshops, team calibration and peer reviews) and track new trainees' progress and qualification status
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EU MDR/IVDR, ISO 13485 and MDSAP so training content remains compliant

Required profile

• Bachelor-level education, preferably in engineering, science or research-based subjects
• Experience in the medical device field, gained in the IVD/MD industry
• Proven experience progressively training technical skills, preferably in multinational organisations, online and face-to-face
• Desirable: ability to set priorities and work with minimal supervision
• Valid work permit in the country of residence
