ICT Teacher

About the role

An international school in St. George, Madrid is looking for an ICT teacher. The role covers planning and delivering ICT lessons, keeping records up to date, supporting students' academic and social needs, and working closely with the psychology department and the academic coordinator.

Key responsibilities

• Plan lessons in advance and send lesson plans to the Head of Level and the Academic Coordinator
• Prepare class materials, design monthly assessments and grade all assigned work
• Keep the grade book up to date and enter grades on or before deadlines
• Decorate the classroom with materials related to lessons, activities and holidays
• Supervise the playground and record daily attendance
• Collaborate with the Psychology Department on students with academic or behavioural issues, special needs and gifted learners, and act as a mediator between students and the psychologist
• Take part in teacher meetings, institutional workshops, parent meetings and school activities
• Help organise community service projects, fundraising, fairs and student participation in subcommittees
• Contact parents for meetings and events, encourage their attendance, and refer students with special learning or socio-emotional needs to the Psychology Department
• Wear the school uniform and follow institutional policies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in education
• Advanced English, fluent in speaking, reading and writing
• Proficiency in digital tools and intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Strong organisation, planning, analytical and communication skills, ability to work under pressure and leadership
